Collection: Cotton Mulmul Sarees - Rajnigandha
Rajnigandha comes from a world I have known all my life.
My grandmother wore cotton sarees. So did my mother, and nearly every woman I grew up around in Bengali homes. A soft mulmul was what you lived in: to cook, work, run errands, welcome guests, or sit quietly at the end of the day.
There was no occasion attached to it. No need to dress up. It was simply the saree you lived in.
That memory stayed with me.
Rajnigandha is our attempt to bring that feeling back: the softness of mulmul against the skin, a drape you forget you're wearing, a saree that asks nothing of you except to be at ease.
We named it after the rajnigandha, the tuberose. It's a white, unassuming flower that comes into its own in the evening, when the day's work is done. That's the kind of beauty we wanted: quiet, familiar, and lingering long after.
Light as breath. Soft as memory.
This is our ode to the cotton sarees we grew up with.
