Roheda – A Kaisori Story in Bloom

Syahi Begar Kota Doria Sarees | Handcrafted in Bagru

Introducing Roheda, our newest celebration of heritage and craft. Inspired by the Roheda tree—the vibrant bloom of Rajasthan’s desert—this collection brings together the lightness of Kota Doria with the timeless charm of Syahi Begar block printing from Bagru.

Every saree, stole, and dupatta in the Roheda range is a canvas of natural dyes and hand-carved patterns, reflecting the rhythm of the desert and the artistry of its people.

Craftsmanship

Syahi Begar Technique from Bagru
This ancient process, handed down through generations of artisans, uses:

  • Syahi (Black): A natural dye made from fermented horse-shoe iron, jaggery, and water.

  • Begar (Red): Created from alum, madder root, and resin of the Babool tree.

Each design is hand block-printed using intricately carved wooden blocks from Pethapur, featuring floral and geometric motifs that are both rooted and contemporary.

Fabric & Features

  • Fabric: Lightweight, breathable Kota Doria, handwoven with its signature checkered weave

  • Technique: Traditional block printing using natural vegetable dyes

  • Includes: Blouse piece attached

  • Care Instructions:

    • Dry clean only

    • Do not soak

    • Use a gentle iron on low heat
